By far, the biggest objection people have when presented with the IDEABASH model is that they assume it's a pyramid scheme because of the way we use exponential growth.
I get this from even the smartest, most savvy entrepreneurs I approach! I'm sympathetic to this argument as I've found myself embroiled in this futile and detrimental system more than once over the course of the years, smooth talked out of my money and unable myself to smooth talk others out of theirs.
Pyramid schemes are illegal in the US and most of the world, although they are still in use, hidden behind other business models. I would never build a business using this model, knowing firsthand how pyramids benefit few and hurt many. The goal of IDEABASH is to empower MANY and to grow a long-term community; the opposite of a pyramid.
Because people have such strong emotions about this issue, I came to realize that I would need a way to teach people that not all exponential growth models are pyramid. After a weekend spent contemplating metaphysics, it occurred to me that there IS a structure that IDEABASH follows: a FRACTAL.
A fractal is a pattern that is repeated into infinity at different scales, the result of which creates an even greater pattern. The "Father of Fractals," Benoit Mandelbrot, described them as "a rough or fragmented geometric shape that can be split into parts, each of which is (at least approximately) a reduced-size copy of the whole."
Our universe and life itself is full of fractals - you see them in snow and ice crystals (including and especially the crystals of Love and Gratitude!), rivers, DNA, lightning bolts, clouds, and even broccoli! It's a natural pattern of strength and beauty that combines math, and science and art. If you were to take one floret off this broccoli, it would be an exact miniature replica of the greater whole. And if you were to take a floret of the floret, it would be yet another miniature replica of the greater whole.... each an individual pattern, distinct and perfect, and integral to the structure of the whole.
Each person who joins IDEABASH is one individual pattern, equal and fundamental to the integrity of the greater fractal, regardless of their level of expertise.
Perhaps the most profound difference between the IDEABASH model and a pyramid is that you're selling your own product, and earning 100% of the sale. We're empowering you to succeed with your own ideas and grow your own business. In a pyramid, you would be selling someone else's product and the person at the top of the pyramid would be pocketing a hefty chunk of your profits (as would everyone in line above you). In IDEABASH, you pay a very small monthly fee for membership which enables a spectacular user experience, business education and customer support; it's nothing compared to what you will earn using this distribution system.
As a member of IDEABASH, you agree to "pay-it-forward" to other entrepreneurs, and will then be "paid forward to" by people who join after you. It's a beautiful system that empowers and inspires. Exponential growth is by far the most powerful way to grow your business, and there's absolutely no reason not to use it.
I urge you to understand the distinction between pyramid and fractal business models, and know in your heart that exponential (aka viral) growth does not equal a pyramid scheme. Once you understand this, you will be able to talk intelligently to the people you invite into IDEABASH, who might have that particular block. In fact, why not direct them to this blog post?
Wishing you many blessings of love, gratitude and abundance!!
