2012 has been a tumultuous year in so many different ways. I perceive it as a much-needed cleansing process, to purge all that is sick... and so as a society, and that process means that we've been subjected to the worse of the worst; the worst greed, power, death and destruction. 

While this purging has been taking place,  I have connected with people around the world who are doing incredible work, people who refuse to let the greed and power define their lives; people who see BEYOND the negativity into what humanity is capable at the opposite end of the spectrum.  One example is +Lynn Serafinn who teaches us how to redefine how we sell and market to be an act of HEALING, instead of greed. Her lessons have inspired a whole new generation of social entrepreneurs who add tremendous value to our world.

My singular goal for 2013 is to empower as many people as possible to earn an exceptional income using their skills, experience, ideas and passion in life, and in doing so, grow a nurturing community that empowers, enriches, and embodies all that is good about humanity. Although money is not the be all-end all of our purpose, it allows us to be healthy and do our work, so our purpose here is not to engorge ourselves on wealth, but to create a communal source of "wellth."

The Beginning is Near!

The Mayan Calendar ends on 12-21-12

There is a massive spiritual awakening happening in this trajectory toward the Mayan prophecy of the "End of the World" on December 21st. The people in my circles do not consider it to be an ending, but a new beginning - a time of extraordinary opportunity, as we choose to live our lives by replacing fear with love and gratitude. By living life this way, we're able to create businesses from our passions and live fully, adding value to the world around us. By living this way, we eliminate scarcity, fear, greed, jealousy and all negative emotions... replacing that empty space with the inverse - contentedness, love, gratitude, and generosity.

By living with in the positive realm, the quality of our lives is drastically increased, as is the world around us. Our health improves, our concentration improves, our relationships improve, and new opportunities begin to appear. We become well-tuned with our passions, and with our place in the universe. We are not phased when life puts hurdles in our way, but see those hurdles as opportunities for growth. We begin to collect amazing people in our life and a vibrant energy forms that begins to propel our actions and ideas toward a magnificent fruition... we are in sync; choosing joy in the face of adversity.

Everything is energy, and according to the First Law of Thermodynamics, energy cannot be created or destroyed, only transformed. Whether we live in the positive or negative, that is our choice. I am a living example of someone who transformed a severely negative life into a fantastically positive life, and so it can be done. It is not necessarily an easy feat, but nothing worth doing, is! Nothing in life is free; but the reward for making this change is greater than can be imagined.

Using all my life's experience, I envisioned and created a simple method for people to make a great income from their ideas, vision, talents, and passion, called IDEABASH.  I know for certain that it will become a vital tool of success as our world sinks deeper into this economic meltdown, and our ideas are more needed than ever. I encourage new ideas; I encourage people to create value for the world around them; I encourage personal wellth; I encourage community building.

No New Ideas?

In a conversation today, my colleague stated that there is no originality left; there are no new ideas.  OUCH! I agreed that there has been a de-facto culling in the music industry for years - the music we are given easy access to is all rehash. (As wonderful as she is, have you noticed how close Adele's style is to Amy Winehouse?) However.... if you go out to hear live music, you will find that there is a lot more happening than what's presented on mainstream radio, and this is where the true creativity lies. There are many great musicians out there who've been on the scene for a lifetime, creating, innovating, collaborating, and their uniqueness is shunned by the industry. I could give you a very long list, just of musicians in NYC! And what about artists, authors, software designers, architects? The same thing applies. It is extremely difficult for people to get exposure for their new and different ideas, and increasingly, people have been programmed to reject new ideas.

Generally, the same is true no matter what business you're in.... the mainstream will present new versions of old ideas while obfuscating the true innovators. I won't get into the "why" of this right now, but you can see it happening in our education systems, our workforce, and our media. People are being programmed to be content with less freedom and less choice, and I, for one, am not jiving with that agenda!

I believe that we haven't yet scratched the surface of what we're capable of, as humans. In general, (perhaps with the exception of our genius heroes, ie Einstein who was quite big on playing music as a means of processing his theorums.....) we tend to use a mere fraction of our brain's capacity. Spiritually, I think humanity is moving forward at a nice pace, but creatively we need to step it up a couple notches. There are so many things you can do to break out of your routine and get the creative juices flowing, and here are some of my favorites:

1. Take a class at your local community college in a subject that interests you.
2. Try a new restaurant that serves food you've never eaten before.
3. Join an online community specializing in something that interests you.
4. Ask your librarian for a new and exciting author.
5. Try a new color or style in clothing.
6. Initiate a conversation with someone while waiting on line about a subject that interests you.
7. Travel someplace you've never been.
8. Learn to play in instrument, or take voice or acting lessons.
9. Start keeping a journal.
10. Study a different language.

The point here is that you need to activate and "work out" the creative part of your brain, and when you do, you'll find that new ideas pop out ALL THE TIME. We all have the capacity for invention and creativity, but if you don't use it, you lose it.

The Science of Gratitude

In my work with IDEABASH, It's been very important for me to encourage people to include blessings of LOVE and GRATITUDE in their correspondence with the people who they purchase products from. Masaru Emoto is a Japanese researcher who discovered that water responds to stimulus as much as you or I do; and the repercussions from this research have shaken the world. The most profoundly beautiful crystals he creates are when LOVE and GRATITUDE are spoken and prayed.

The people who are already familiar with this research implicitly understand my request of this blessings, but I take the time to educate people who are hearing of it for the first time, for a very specific purpose.

If you're sending paper money, or if you're sending a payment electronically, there is energy attached to that money. If you do nothing, then the money retains whatever energy it has.... which can be positive or negative. But if you take the time to sit and meditate on your payment, infusing it with your wishes and prayers that it travel with LOVE and GRATITUDE and SUCCESS, then you are changing its energy to the positive, and when the person receives it, the balance of positive energy in their life also changes. Imagine all 4,000 people who purchase your product sending you these blessings with the money you receive - it's POWERFUL!

On Thanksgiving, someone posted a link to a magnificent article called The Neuroscience of Why Gratitude Makes Us Healthier, written by a guy named Ocean Robbins, and I was just floored by the fact that someone has taken this research to an even deeper level. In the article, he states that "If you invest in a way of seeing the world that is mean and frustrated, you're going to get a world that is, well, more mean and frustrating. But if you can find any authentic reason to give thanks, anything that is going right with the world or your life, and put your attention there, then statistics say you're going to be better off." I concur!

Gratefulness is directly related to Happiness! I immediately renamed Thanksgiving "Gratitude Day" and insisted that my family go around all day thinking of things they're grateful for. By dinner time, the love was flowing like a stream in the spring! Not that people were necessarily unhappy earlier in the day, but it was a kind of neutral energy.  When my 8 year old boy offered to help me do the dishes, I knew there was some magic in the air!

We need to practice Gratitude every day. Whenever you feel your energy slipping, remember all that you have to be grateful for, and see how you feel.

I'll finish this blog with another wonderful quote from the article: "There's an old saying that if you've forgotten the language of gratitude, you'll never be on speaking terms with happiness."

At What Point Do You Deserve Success?

In my life I have known extraordinary people who shot to superstardom in their field at a very young age due to a variety of factors - genius, privilege, super-involved parents, etc. I've also known people who worked studiously, overcoming incredible obstacles, and over a long period of time achieved their desired dream of either status, wealth or fame. 

But so many of us work hard, pushing forward, and yet we continually end up boxed in darkened hallways with bolted doors with seemingly no way to get to the next level in our careers.

Why is that?

The reason is always the same - we are not doing the work we're supposed to be doing. We are on the wrong path. Making money in and of itself is not an end-game; but finding and living our purpose is. Sometimes the universe will put an inescapable roadblock in our path when we're just getting by, in order to lead us to our true purpose, but not always. Sometimes you actually have to go searching for that purpose and it can take a long while.

There are so many incredible breakthroughs happening in the world today in the realms of energy production, education, health, financial systems and more. The world is changing very fast; in fact I read this morning that 90% of all human information has been generated in the past 2 years alone! (IBM) That's absolutely mind-boggling. I failed miserably because I could never adjust to the pervailing marketing tactics of appealing to human vices, such as greed, fear, and jealousy; and I could never just "sell" to make a buck. The products didn't mean anything to me, didn't add value to the world, and was doing nothing more than taking people's money. I was exasperated, and yet I KNEW it didn't have to be that way!

Then, a new wave of entrepreneurs came around starting around 2010, people who reject the "fast buck" and demand to produce products that add value to people's lives. Once I began to see and hear what this vanguard of very successful entrepreneurs were doing, I got busy inventing a system I had always had at the back of my mind, the system that became IDEABASH.

Being a creative professional, I met many people who lived by their wits, one way or another, but the people who impressed me most were those who were able to turn their skills, passion and experience into PASSIVE income. The Simple Recipe for Your Financial Success

There are no two ways about it - we live in a very difficult time.  

Everywhere I go, people are stressing over the rising cost of gas, food, energy, tuition, insurance.... all the things that you're obligated to pay for, just to survive. Even people who already have the entrepreneur mindset are saying, "I need a job!" I live in a rural, sparsely inhabited county where the only jobs are minimum wage, prisons, and government; really - what kind of job are you going to get??? 

It's time to think differently about how to make a living. Yes we all need to pay bills and a lot of people are at a point of desperation, but there is hope for EVERYONE, and by "everyone" I mean anyone who needs a new source of income. Over the course of a decade, I've developed a simple method to build a solid financial foundation very quickly; all it requires is an open mind and the determination to succeed. Can you give me that? 

IDEABASH teaches people how to become successful entrepreneurs without taking any risks with your money or your time.

Here's the simple recipe for your financial success, and your entrance into the world of entrepreneurialism:

1. Develop an info product based on your experience, skill and passion in life. Some people already have products that can be easily digitized, such as music, artwork, cookbooks, etc, but if you need to develop one there are a million possibilities. 2. Pay it Forward. The only investment that you need to make is to empower the people on your Distribution List by purchasing their product, which cost $25 or less. The "pay it forward" total will never be greater than $125, as there are no more than 5 people on the list. 4 Simple Steps to Becoming an Entrepreneur

We live in drastically changing times, but that doesn't mean you - or anyone - has to suffer.

Instead of fighting the changes, learn to flow with these changes, and envision a better future for yourself. The truth is that those who adapt will THRIVE in this changing world, and those who don't will be left behind.
